Mark-Series windows
are proven performers. For more than a decade, they have been
exposed to the harsh Canadian elements providing protection and
comfort to the thousands of people who have them in their homes.
Back in 1989 Bill
Moore-Gough began his quest to bring to market a window which
solved many of the problems plaguing the vinyl window industry
and it's customers. Mr. Moore-Gough's 40 years of home improvement
experience proved invaluable in attaining his goal.
The "Bil-Den
Mark Series" windows are the result of two years of research,
commitment and one year of testing on the part of Bil-Den's President,
Mr. Bill Moore-Gough and his manufacturer.
"The most difficult
problems I faced in getting this window line produced, were my
own demands of quality, combined with the features I wanted",
says Mr. Moore-Gough.
His feeling was that
he could not afford to risk his hard-earned reputation of selling
and installing quality home improvement products by selling just
any vinyl window that was available to him. He needed to first
investigate the quality and the after sale service required on
these various lines.
All the major producers
of home improvement products knew Bil-Den due to their size and
reputation. Therefore it was relatively easy to gain access to
any window line that Bil-Den wanted to investigate.
"I discovered
that all of the specific features and quality I demanded in a
window product were not available in any of the lines that were
being manufactured", says Mr. Moore-Gough.
After toying with
the idea of producing his own windows, he was approached by Vinyl
Window Design, a Woodbridge, Ontario manufacturer, who convinced
him that they could and would produce the windows he was looking
for.
Mr. Moore-Gough shared
suggestions for features and quality he felt were lacking on the
other windows he had seen, and when VWD agreed it could be done,
they entered into an exclusivity agreement.
The manufacturer
transformed Mr. Moore-Gough's suggestions and features into a
complete line of windows produced exclusively for Bil-Den.
