Pioneers Of Metal Roofing
Our roots date back to 1962, when Anden a London Ontario based company was formed. This company grew to be one of Ontario's largest home improvement companies. Bill Moore-Gough had very humble beginnings within the company starting out as a junior sales rep promoting storm windows and siding. Mr. Moore-Gough always believed that selling was made easy if you had a premium product that you believed in. With much hard work and determination he eventually worked his way up to earn a management position where his skills as an innovative sales leader were best displayed.
It was in 1975 that Bill Moore-Gough brought Anden to Oshawa when a new branch was opened with him as General Manager. In order to accommodate the companies’ growth the building that Bil-Den still calls home today was erected. The location at 440 Hopkins Street has been home to Anden and now Bil-Den since 1979.
The Bil-Den name was created and first used in 1989 when Mr. Moore-Gough acquired the business from the original retiring partners of Anden.
As the years passed and the product lines were changing, under the management of Bill Moore-Gough the company emerged as a leading supplier of vinyl replacement windows and eventually the Metalworks® Steel Shingle Roofing System.
Bil-Den has always proud to be a strong family oriented company that is always thriving to provide only those select products that are of premium quality.
Bill Moore-Gough’s daughter, Colleen Alves, became active in the business in 2001 to carry forth the mission of the company into another generation. Today Colleen Alves is Vice President of Bil-Den with the same mission and values her father has demonstrated for more than 30 years.
