2009 marks the 30th year we have been serving customer needs from our Whitby location and the 20th Anniversary for the founding of BIL-DEN.

Our roots date back to 1962, when Anden a London based company was formed. This company grew to be Ontario’s largest home improvement company. Bill Moore-Gough had very humble beginnings within the company starting out as a door to door canvasser promoting storm windows and siding. Due to hard work and determination he eventually worked his way up to earn a management position.

1975 - Mr. Bill Moore-Gough re-locates to Oshawa and is appointed as General Manager.

1979 - The Oshawa branch is moved to the newly built 440 Hopkins St location in Whitby.

1980 - Bill Moore-Gough is promoted to Vice President of the company.

1989 - The company’s two founding owners Andy Spriet and Dennis Plowright choose to retire.

1989 - Bill Moore-Gough acquires the Whitby Branch assets & purchases the building on Hopkins St.

1989 - The operating name is changed to Bil-Den to reflect new ownership.

2009 - Bil-Den is celebrating it’s 20th year with a combined 30 year history of servicing homeowners from the same location.
